Beautification
Committee

The Annandale Beautification Committee is a group citizens interested in beautifying the City of Annandale with plantings throughout the year.  First organized in 2001, they are a branch of the City with a close relationship to and generous support of the Annandale Improvement Club

In 2005 the committee started using this watering trailer, a one-of-a-kind apparatus to water the hanging baskets on the canopies.  It is the creation of Rollie Schmidt, Dick Anderson, and Jim Olsen (pictured left).
The plants for the hanging baskets and the cement planters are started early in the season by Bernie Weber at her greenhouse, Weber's Folly.
Committee members and other volunteers plant the seven cement planters that are seen around town.  They are planted with different plants in the summer and winter.

The Beautification Committee members are Patti Van Dorp, Laurel Miller, Char Shadduck, Carol Balfour, Meredith Froehlich, Nancy Hector, Ruth Mohwinkel, , and Kathy Wenngatz.
