Treasurers Report:  $4,919.89 in savings - $3,772.81 in Checking

Membership and Directory discussed.

Feasibility study update:  Jim Diorio shared with the group his meetings with the city and township.  The township wanted more information regarding just how many people living on 89th St. wanted a paved road, sewer or water. The township has met on the paved road program and showed potential costs to all  property owners.  They hope to complete this project this summer.  There are properties on 89th St. that are unbuildable because of sewer restrictions. They will  require city water and sewer services before they can be built on.   The paving cost should be around $9,500 per lot.  The feasibility study shows a projected cost of $28,000 for property owners around the lake to receive water and sewer services.  Because of new restrictions septic systems are becoming the major concern when selling or remodeling homes not now receiving water and sewer services. Holding tanks can not be used for new constuction.

DNR monitoring grant program will begin May 26th with the training of John Sedey and Bob Markstrom in Buffalo.  The 1st year will be when most of the data is collected and then montoring for the next 4 will show what quality our lake enjoys.

Deputy Joel Mackereth of the Wright Co Water Patrol will be invited to attend our June meeting.  Pictures will be taken then for new ID's. Joel will be asked to bring application for interested parties.

Notice of general meeting to be sent out with dues request and survey.

Survey will ask homeowners how they feel about the water & sewer idea along with other lake concerns.  Self-addressed, stamped return envelope will  be included in the mailing.  Tab will get the mailing list to John asap.

Loons are back and the loon nest is still floating.  We will leave the nest where it is for this season.

Joe Bayer and Al Dubbeldee are filling the seats of Malmberg and Bruggeman

In Aug a number of Board seats are up for election.

Discussion of how to get property owners to clean-up when property has become an eyesore.  How to approach the situation in a neighborly, helpful way was the overall direction the board wants to take.

Merle Anderson shared with the group a new idea other lakes have been looking at.  By forming a "Foundation" area lakes could receive donation and complete local projects.  Clearwater Watershed would be willing to manage the Foundation at no cost.  All money received would be used at the Foundation Boards direction.  Merle will explain this to our membership at our June meeting.

There are concerns with the 20 foot easement bordering Ron Swansons property.  An abandoned dock needs removing and another dock is not within the 20 foot easement.  The motion made by V Lundeen and 2nd by Jim Diorio to spend up to $100 to have the abandoned dock removed passed unanimously.   Bob Markstrom will contact the county attorney to get an answer on who can use the easement area and if a dock can be placed within it.  It is believed that 22 property owners are included in the easement area.
