Board Meeting Minutes
January 7, 2009
Present:
Chair Bayer, Treasurer Froelich, Secretary Peterson, K Lundeen, Sedey, V
Lundeen, Hogberg Missing: Strohschein, Arfsten
Treasurer Report:
All bills paid with approx. $200 balance.
Membership:
Julie Sedey reports that 41 owners have paid this years dues out of 125.
Last year, 2008, 82 owners
joined the association.
Grant Report:
Past Chair Sedey reports that
our grant has been received by the
Healthy Lakes & Rivers Partnership Initiative Foundation and we can expect
$1,200 within the month to help with our weed control program.
DNR Permit:
Board agreed once again to
request a lake-wide permit for $750 allowing all homeowners to save the $40 DNR
private permit when treating their recreational areas.
Past Chair Sedey is our
official representative when negotiating with
Lake Restoration, Inc. of Rogers. The
Board will meet again in April to determine how many acres will be treated prior
to contracting with Lake Restoration.
Weed Control:
Chair Bayer will contact the
City & the Triathlon Club for help with the weed project.
Past Chair Sedey will contact the County. Lakeshore
homeowners may be asked for
donations to continue this program.
Many funding ideas discussed. Last year the city and county each gave $1,000.
Annual meeting:
Set for Saturday, Aug 29th in the city park. Denise Froehlich
will chair this project and recruit needed bodies.
New board member:
Gloria Warner
By-Laws up-date:
Peterson & Sedey to make
recommendations.
Loon nest:
D Hogberg will look into adding
an additional nest.
