Founded in 1974, Oak Realty is the Annandale area’s oldest real estate brokerage. That year Don Bruggeman purchased what was Daryl Gunnerson Realty and renamed it Oak Realty after Oak Avenue, Annandale’s Main Street, and took the red and white oak leaf as its logo.

In 1986 Don’s son Steve joined the business and the company continued to grow into the early 90’s. In 1996, the company made a move from its location in downtown Annandale to a new, log-sided building on Highway 55, visible as you enter town from the East. Steve purchased the company in 2000, and Oak Realty continues to grow and succeed through an ever-changing market.

In 2007 Oak Realty acquired Lake Country Properties and Real Estate in neighboring Maple Lake. The Maple Lake location serves as a second office, and the business has benefited by the addition of both new and experienced agents. Oak’s offices are home to 12 staff members including local graduates, former local business owners, lake association presidents, and community volunteers, all individuals who love the Annandale area and know it well. Oak Realty exceeds in new technology to ensure its agents have the best tools to list, market and sell premiere properties.
