Annandale Ministerial Association

The Annandale Ministerial Association links local congregations together. Area pastors meet the third Thursday of each month at 9:00 a.m. for breakfast at a designated place during the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. At these meetings we enjoy food and fellowship with one another. We also discuss pertinent matters related to our parishes and the local community. Occasionally we welcome guests who represent different groups to attend our monthly gatherings. These representatives share information about what is happening in their respective organizations or agencies. Examples include: Habitat for Humanity, Alcoholics Anonymous, The Free Store, and others.

The Annandale Ministerial Association works closely with Administrators from the Annandale Public Schools. We seek to coordinate our calendar of events in order to avoid conflict with our respective scheduled activities. We collaborate with Youth First activities.

One yearly venture the local clergy cooperate on with the local community is an ecumenical noon Good Friday Worship service. This meaningful Passion Week event takes place each year at a local Church on Good Friday from 12:00-12:45 P.M. Several clergy and lay leaders representing most of the area Churches help to lead this Holy Week service. In 2012 the service will be hosted by the Annandale United Methodist Church.

For further questions about the Annandale Ministerial Association, please contact the current chairperson of our organization, Pastor Dave Nelson, tel. 320-274-8827 or email dnelson@stjohns-annandale.org.
