Board Meeting
Minutes -
December 2, 2009
Members present:
Chair Bayer, V Chair Sedey, Sec Peterson, Directors Arfsten, Hogberg,
Warner, V Lundeen
Not Present:
Treasurer Froehlich, Director K Lundeen
Minutes of 8-30-09 General
meeting read, corrected, and approved. Membership change from 86 to 85.
Motion by Arfsten 2nd by Warner.
Treasurers Report:
$2,021 in account. Expecting
$1,000 from Wright County for help with our weed program.
Denise is unable to continue on as treasurer but will remain as director.
Denny Arfsten was appointed treasurer.
He will contact Denise for necessary business transfers.
Weed project:
Dave Hogberg will contact DNR for info on lake areas treated for weeds
and what training would be necessary for our association to treat areas using
volunteers. Dave will contact Chair
Bayer with info prior to next board mtg.
Board members are asked to check with other areas lake residence
to see just how they treat weeds
News Letter:
Board would like to see the news letter printed twice yearly.
Advertising discussed, some lake papers give free ad space to members.
Warner will begin gathering materials &
ideas for next issue.
Pictures and history of lake were of high interest.
Dues
letters: Chair Bayer had sample
letter which was modified and will be sent to all residents showing an increase
of $10. Dues are now $35 per year.
Membership chair Julie Sedey submitted a list of members for the record.
Deductible donations are being determined and will be clarified in
letter.
Directory:
Board would like to print a directory with some regularity. Director
Warner will contact lake residents Dave & Nancy Haugland for printing info.
They printed our first directory free of charge 6 years ago.
Web site:
Chair Bayer showed the board the Mn. Waters web site where many Mn. Lakes
post their info. He will check with
them and get the cost. We presently post our meeting minutes on the Annandale
web site.
Board will meet in Jan or
Feb to determine Spring weed program.
