Board Meeting 
Minutes - October 15, 2011


Present:  Chair Sedey, Treasurer Arfsten, Sec Peterson, Directors: Mader, Warner, Bayer, Hable
Not present:  Directors Froelich, Hogberg, Lundeen

Treasurer's Report:   Income/Expenses reported.  Current balance of $5,390.  One outstanding bill to Wench Associates for $1,500 for the lake mapping project.

Dues set for 2012 at $35.00  This will be sent to homeowners by the Dec 11 Newsletter.

Membership:   We have 79 paid members for this year.

Clearwater Watershed Dist. Tour.   Sedey and Hable attended the event and explained projects the Dist. is involved in. Curly leaf appears to be a problem in most Mn. Lakes.

Boat parade:   Review of this years event.  Suggested that the parade starting time be adjusted and a possible PA system be used to announce participants. Newsletter will ask for suggestions for future parades.

Wench Associates doing the Point Intercept Vegetation Survey will provide us with areas of need on the lake.  We can then contact Rep Dean Erdahl and his Legacy Committee for possible funding.

Newsletter   December 10 issue will include:  Theme suggestions for Aug 11 Lake Picnic,  Parade suggestions, Wench Study update,  article  on history of Tims home and  shed on Hwy 24. Article on who is printing our news letter free of charge,  date of Spring meeting,  Election of officers update,  Merchandise sales from local retailers and order instructions.

Picnic:  Ed will be sending out Thank You letters to all who donated time and material.

Initiative Grant.  Sedey and Arfsten will review.

Secchi reading are due Nov 5.

COLA:   We will ask Joe from Wright County to come and address our board as to the purpose of such an organization.

Web site:   Ed Mader may have a new neighbor who would be willing to create a site for our association.  She will be asked to attend our next board meeting. 

Board Meeting:   Next meeting will be on Thursday evening Dec 8th  at 7 PM
