There will be storytimes at the Library on the first Saturday each month at 10:00 a.m. (Nov. 5, Dec. 3, Jan. 7, Feb. 4, March 4, April 1, May 13--due to city-wide garage sale).  If you are interested in seeing children truly enjoying themselves, please stop by. Better yet, volunteer with a friend to present a storytime from the GRRL storytime kits -- everything is included for a great program.

 

If any Friends are interested in applying for the two open positions on the Library Board, please notify Ron Remington of your interest.

 

When you pay your 2006 Friends dues you will now receive a membership card -- we hope to develop partnerships with some local businesses for discounts if you show your card!

 

Officers were elected at the 11/1/05 Annual Meeting -- the current officers will serve another term.

 

The Annandale Friends donated $50 to the national Katrina Relief for Libraries fund -- all funds donated will be distributed to individual state library associations for use in re-building libraries.

 

Future Friends meetings:  Tuesday, December 6, 7:00 p.m. at the Library -- bring treats to share for a holiday gathering and very short meeting.  The first meeting in 2006 will be April 11, 7:00 p.m. at the Library.
