Who are the Friends of the Library and what do they do?

Friends of the Library are community members like you with varied interests and a shared passion: they value, support, and champion the public library. Active membership is open to individuals of all ages, families and organizations who want involvement in promoting the materials, services and programs of our library.

Active Friends devote time and energy to ...

• Encouraging community awareness by sharing your passion for books, learning, and libraries in our community.
• Raising funds through used book sales and other events to purchase equipment and materials not available through the regular library budget.
• Providing volunteer assistance for library programs, open houses, special events, and public service projects.
• Sponsoring special programs for children, teens and adults.

Membership Form - Print out this membership form and become a member of Annandale's Friends of the Library. While you may choose to be a very active member, serving on one of the standing committees, you may also show your support of the Friends of the Library by joining and being an inactive member.

Officers - Officers are elected in November

Committees - Active members will serve on one of these committees.

Bylaws - The Friends formalized their organization with bylaws adopted November 9, 2004.
