Meeting Minutes - June 8, 2010
President Carol Anderson
called the meeting to order at 7:05 P.M. with 15 members present.
Motion MSP to approve the secretary’s minutes.
Treasurer’s report: Balance
to date is $6809.82. Motion MSP
(Sandy, Cindy) to accept report subject to audit.
Reports
Library Board:
The Board has changed to just an annual meeting.
Barb Reitmeier is replacing Idell Knudsvig on the Board.
Publicity Committee:
Cindy reports that a ¼ page ad will be in the May 26th
Advocate promoting the library and the book sale.
Librarian Report:
Carla had a couple requests which were discussed.
Motion MSP (Cindy, Bonnie) to spend up to $300 for a camera, memory card
and Snapfish account. Motion MSP
(Sally, Bonnie) to spend up to $100 for new toys.
Sandy and Carla will search out some needed furniture options.
Unfinished Business
Author Dinner:
The event was a success again thanks to Cindy and her loyal crew of
workers. Julie Kramer has confirmed
for the May 20, 2011.
Status of Application
for MN Sales Tax Exemption:
All necessary forms have been completed and approved according to Bonnie.
New Business:
Book Sale – July 3rd:
Bonnie sent around a signup to set up and work at the sale.
All children’s books will be 50 cents.
Book sorting will be done each Tuesday A.M. during June.
Membership:
Cindy reported that we may like to send a letter to previous members “Are
we still Friends?” to increase membership.
Dean will work on creating mailing to be sent out later in the summer.
Next meeting September 14th
