Meeting Minutes - March 29, 2011
President Julie called the meeting to order at 7:10 P.M. with 13 members in
attendance. Motion MSP (Bonnie,
Muriel) to approve the November minutes.
Treasurer’s report: Balance
to date is $6618.99. Report filed
until audit.
Reports
Librarian Report:
Carla presented a report of Legacy spending through June 2011.
She also reported all the Spring/Summer programming for the library
including adult and children activities.
(Schedule attached). March
begins the “High 5” campaign and the local library will keep 40% of the
donations. The inventory was
postponed due to weather and has not been rescheduled yet.
Two additional Internet stations have been installed at the library so we
now have a total of 5. Motion MSP
(Bonnie, Marion) to allocate $100 for summer reading.
Bendix
Reading Incentive:
Sally reported that the 2 bikes we donated to Bendix Elementary were used
as incentives for I Love to Read Month.
Two 3rd graders won the bikes.

Business
Annandale Expo:
April 9, 2011 from 8:00 to 1:00.
We need additional brochures and the poster needs some work.
A signup sheet was passed for volunteers to work at the booth.

Dinner:
May 20, 2011. Motion MSP
(Ron, Bonnie) to allocate $500 for advertising, decorating, and printing for the
dinner. Marion and Diane will be
working on centerpieces. Betsy and
Cheryl volunteered to work at the front table.
Ron will borrow the microphone from the Middle School.
Book
Sale:
July 2, 2011 from 8:00 to 12:30.
Sorting will be done on Tuesday morning starting June 7th.

Business
Publicity:
A motion MSP (Cheryl, Sally) to allocate $500 for Book sale publicity and
library promotion.
Some
government forms need to completed (990N).
Dean will take care of that.
